Sweet Delicious Gigabytes

So, during the editing process of Halo 3 Forge's 80th episode, I found a lot of stock footage from old episodes that was never used. Normally I delete this footage after I filter out the bloopers, but I had forgotten to do this in some 10 episodes early on.

So needless to say, I deleted all of those useless clips and freed nearly 50 gigabytes on my external hard-drive. With all of this space, I moved a large amount of video from my mac's hard-drive to the external to free some of the motherboard.

With all of this free space, I have recovered my once lost application "FXHome EffectsPro." A very expensive editing system used to make high quality effects such as explosions, laser beams, lightsabers, and the like. So you may (MAY) see some of these new effects come into play in future episodes.

Those of you who watched Halo 3 Forges from the beginning (back in 2007), may remember an episode where we blew up Atomic on the top of a tower. To make that happen, I used this same application.

In other news, I am traveling to college this week. It's a three day trip that we are expanding over 4 days, so after Monday night, I probably wont be on again until at LEAST Saturday night. During this trip I will be visiting Mackenzie however, so some may hear me online briefly if we can pull ourselves away from our Magic: The Gathering battles.

I have pre-ordered Halo: Reach, so it will be arriving at my dorm on the day of release. Yes, this means that I won't be able to join everyone in the fun at the midnight launch unfortunately. If it is late by even a day I will be royally pissed.

Finally we will be upgrading to a higher quality capture card. Soon I will be purchasing the BlackMagic Intensity (an HD capture card recommended by CMNeir). So we will now be filming in HD!!!

In recent months we changed our filming strategy to 2 times a week. When Reach comes out we will be continuing this new filming schedule, so episodes should be queued high enough for them to be released on a regular basis on youtube.

A lot is still going on in Game Over Studios, but this is the time to do it. See you all in REACH!
